The canvas stood ready, patiently waiting for darkness to fall as sunset silhouettes casted shadows across a dotted sea of smiles seated below. The people were everywhere, stashed deep in safari grass and swinging from buildings beyond the park boundaries with anxious anticipation of the electric zoo that would unfold on the face of this 140-year-old musical relic. And just as the sounds of the symphony floated through the trees and the building erupted in an explosion of psychedelic color to oohs and ahhs of neighbors by the thousand, I took a moment to breathe in the Cincinnati life around me.
