The capture of a key suspect in the #Benghazi attack is good news, and proof that we will hunt down those responsible for the killing of Americans no matter how hard it is, and no matter how long it takes. Some have questioned where and how Abu Khattala should be tried. The criminal courts have proven far more successful in prosecuting terrorism suspects than the military tribunals at Guantanamo. Instead of adding more to the detainee population at Gitmo – as some continue to recommend – we should draw down the number of those incarcerated there and ultimately close the facility which has become a recruiting tool for jihadis.
