The cast is busily rehearsing in St. James Church, digging in trunks for costumes and generally getting excited about the show. Last week our dance mistress, Andrea Rogers, put us through the paces of a country dance we have never done before that has some beautiful figures! Hattie and Fred are keeping on top of everything - chorus members, mummers players, dancers, the children, to get the most out of rehearsals. And, we still manage to have fun. Really, it gives everyone in the cast great joy to be preparing for a whole new show - our 30th! (Hard to believe…but true!) We won’t say what the mummers play is about this year, but that it is written by Margaret Christie and Montserrat Archbald, and promises some unusual new characters.
