The casting call asked for, specifically, an exotic woman with an athletic build who could believably stand up to Batman in a fight. So, of course, they cast a rail-thin beauty pageant winner. Look, Im no fan of normalizing overweight, but come on. Gal Gadot may be pretty and exotic, but she looks like she could barely lift a sword, let alone use one. But least shes got until 2015 to put on about 10 pound of muscle. And BTW, Zack Snyder, Wonder Woman can do a lot more than stand up to Batman in a fight. Shes capable of BRUISING SUPERMAN with one punch; Batman wouldnt stand a chance against her in a fair fight. TRUE STORY (from the comics): When Superman was beginning a romantic relationship with Wonder Woman, Batman begged him not to get involved with her. When Supes asked why, Bats showed him his Bat-files on all the Justice League members weaknesses, which included plans on how to defeat each of them should it ever become necessary. When Supes opened up WWs file, he saw that it was empty. Supes asked why Dianas file was empty. Bats replied, because there is no magic green rock that can bring her down. YOU are my contingency against Wonder Woman, Clark. I have nothing that can stop her. Just saying.
