The ceiling of this brick and mortar room has nothing to hold me. My ceiling is, as befits anyone who has ever done a bit of browsing with Google Earth, of a blue color, well known to every one of us - and God is not far behind that veil of blue, watching with His unending, unfathomable love over every move we make. He loves you, He loves me, He loves every one of His children all the way down from Adam and Eve. He is disappointed by those who have not yet yielded their all to Him - especially since their insistence on carrying their own sins instead of laying them at His feet for forgiveness will eventually separate them from Him forever. It has always been so, and will never cease. The proof lies in the skins He took to cover A&E (while Abel was in his turn a wool farmer) - the first sacrifice to foreshadow Calvary. So then, b+m ceiling or not, wherever we are we are not far from Him, nor in a position from which we cannot turn directly to Him with whatever we have on our mind - thanks, needs, petitions, whatever we need to hand over to Him.
