The challenge in the scripting and also in the shooting was, How does she bring him out of his trance? How does she really get back to him? We set it up in that scene in his fear landscape where he’s going to kill the innocent—that’s one of his fears, one of the things he doesn’t want to do—and the only way he can do it is by looking away, he can’t watch himself. And Tris is the only one that knows that, she’s been inside his head, she knows that’s his one weakness in terms of this.
