The challenge was big- no doubt- and Assad was not up to it and will not ask for the adequate help from those who had experience and preceded him on the way . He preferred to act on his own , far from his allies and from his people, singing a lonely tune and acting according to political schemes that proved not only to be fruitless, but also dangerous . He subscribed to the World Order- through Russia- and missed his chance to build an independent resisting Syria that could face successfully the different challenges. Instead of rising with Syria from the blood bath and destruction caused by the many conspiracies , he secured his throne and started maneuvering and manipulating as if the cause was limited to his rule and his power . What we need , what Syria needs, what the nation needs and what Arabs need is real revolutionaries and real leaders, to start a real revolution. Unfortunately , Assad does not have such aspirations.
