The changes are because they want to attract a younger audience - TopicsExpress

The changes are because they want to attract a younger audience for advertising makes no sense! The people with spending power are the over 50s, those who have paid up or have small mortgages, who can afford to take holidays, buy gifts, support the younger ones in uni and with housing costs. So they attract more young people, they listen to music but dont buy anything advertised, so the companies take the advertising to other stations, those with listeners with better spending power. Obviously the numbskulls in charge will eventually realise they have made a costly mistake when they lose revenue, all to save a little money initially. Time will tell, hopefully the talented interesting funny presenters will be snapped up by a station who realises the true worth of not having the same old same old spewed out and that some people like the banter. Enough proof around about who has the spending power, maybe we should be targetting the advertisers to let them know how many listeners have tuned out?
