The chaos created by events leading up to the creation of the JBNQA and soon thereafter left several generations of people both old and young then in a bit of a vacuum of hurt and despair. Even those who won, did so at great cost and those who lost won an enviable share of status in Nunavik society however later. However, it is true we were very unkind to one another and deliberately berated, hurt and threatened those who did not agree with the direction we were taking. Defending it without truly understanding the ramifications. I too admit fault and apologize to men and women who were on the receiving end of my vengeful speech after the littlest of provocations. Odd, 1975 is 39 years past and it felt like spending 40 years in the wilderness. Good going, Inuit delegation.
