The character in the book I was reading destroyed all her clothes one day in front of her kids because her husband did not remember it was her birthday- every afternoon she and her husband would fight and she will get a bruised eye afterwards. I closed the book- decided not to finish it. I dont like to read about a woman who goes crazy just because some guy forgot her birthday- and I sure as hell do not have the patience for a woman who allows herself to get a bruised eye afterwards. If your husband forgot your birthday- get a divorce- and celebrate your life- why will you allow your husband to dictate your life and your happiness- I dont even believe I will get a bruised eye- I value myself that much--one bad word from a guy--I sure as hell would be the one to give him a black eye.
