The character of a Muslim is the greatest form of Dawah. The Muslims shouldnt utter a word, and yet the other person should recognize that this person is a Muslim. How? From their character. Its our job to spread the truth around but in an eloquent way without criticising the other persons beliefs or making fun out of them, and with patience, of course. All good things take time, we must keep that in our minds. When you sow a seed, it takes years for the plant to bear fruit, it just doesnt happen overnight. So the era which we are going through right now is the era of planting the seed. And we must take this job very seriously. Allah says that, if you move away from Islam and indulge in falsehood, We will bring other people to the path of righteousness. And this is exactly whats happening. From the year 2000 to 2010, the greatest number of people reverted to Islam in any period of time in the recorded history. (No swords were used, the only swords being used were on the Muslims.) The born Muslims should realise the blessing that they have and must make full use of it. Do not wait for tomorrow, tomorrow might not even come. We are not in control, contrary to the belief of many people. Try to fight death, try to fight disease, try to fight the process of aging, predict what youre going to do tomorrow( we arent even sure what happens in the next hour). Are we really in control? Having free will and having a control on ourselves are different things. Its time to let go of the illusions and the standards imposed by the society upon us and break free of the shackles.
