The church has failed and it is still failing to lend its voice on very critical issues in Nigeria. For instance, Most church founders and Presidents dont see anything wrong in Boko Haram activities activities, so long it doesnt affect their denomination. The church is still yet to approach the alter of prayer to stand as shield on Nigeria. Rather, numerical and financial issues are the major talking points. The church itself has inadvertently divided itself into denominations; all man for himself. Catholic, Ecwa, CAC, Baptist, COCIN, Deeper Life have been the sacred cows of what the church has become today; divided over doctrine issues. Corrupt politicians donate huge sums to church pastors and projects in the name of offerings; they have received the price for the truth. I pray some of them will not fall guilty of this on the judgement day for all this. We need to wake up and confront these uncircumcised phillistines on our knees as a body and not as a denomination. Though we are many, we are one body in Christ. We should not wait until a church with millions of members becomes the next calamity before the church begins to see that we are faced with a kind of Abachas legacy of 1998 before it will arise.
