The church is not like Atlas who bears the burden of the whole world. For all the churchs dedication to the cause which it represents in the world, the cause is not its own, nor does the triumph of this cause depend upon it. Instead the One who has entrusted his cause to the church will see to it that it is not left to its own resources in championing it.
