The circle of life in veterinary medicine is a bit more intricate than a simple circle -- its more of an interwoven pattern, or maybe an infinity symbol. We have had a long week that unfortunately seemed to be focused on saying good-bye to too many of our favorite patients. So many times, as was the case this past week, these pets are also ties to so much more... Last links to a deceased spouse or parent, former homes, life with kids at home, etc. Thats when grieving over a pet is really so much more... Often we are grieving these past losses as well. Rest in peace Lucky, Blackie, Bo, Otter, Jake, BK, and Chloee. You are already missed, but still loved.
