The city of Sidney issued its response to a lawsuit recently filed in Shelby County Common Pleas Court against the city by Washington Township, Spring Creek Corporation and Barrett Paving Materials. The city’s response was dated July 15. As first reported by The Sidney Post in June, Washington Township, Spring Creek Corporation and Barrett Paving Materials have filed a civil suit seeking a declaratory judgment to explain the rights of the firms against the city of Sidney and to issue an injunction against the city regarding an underground aquifer that can provide drinking water for industry, business, and residents in the city of Sidney.
