The city of st Louis police department no longer serves and protect. They have become revenue enforcement. My truck was stolen and I could not get them to come investigate the crime. The only thing they would do is make a police report by phone. This took 3 hrs to get the call. This is the policy of the department. I always thought crimes were solved by investigating the crime. They told me the truck was gone so there was no evidence. In my opinion they could look to see if anything was dropped,They could ask neighbors if they saw anything or even looked to see if cameras in the area saw something. They said if the truck gets stopped anywhere from here to Alaska it would show up then.so now instead of solving crimes we wait for them to solve themselves. In the last 3 years I’ve had my truck stole twice, my house broke into tires stolen off my truck and robbed at gun point on my front porch. I go to work every day pay my taxes and all I expect is a minimal effort. They claim to be too busy. There not to busy to run the tags of my car and give it a ticket. Not to busy to sit in the streets with radar and write tickets. So they have all the time in the world to extract revenue but no time to do the job that the police department was created to do PROTECT AND TO SERVE the people of the community.
