The city wonders why morale is at an all time low. 27 year city employee Ronnie Recio just retired Thursday from the Aviation Department. Ronnie retired without the slightest bit of gratitude from his supervisors or managers. Not even a simple thank you from his supervisor. Out the door like his service didnt even matter. Shameful. Im amazed at how supervision fails to realize that the working families are the ones who fight for everything they receive as supervisors. We are the ones who are fighting for their pensions! We dont need praise buy this highlights the disconnect from management to workers. Im disappointed that they treated Ronnie this way. They go all out for each other and disregard the worker. The one sure thing was that Ronnie s family and his Union would be there to congratulate and honor him for his service and solidarity. I was honored to attend his retirement party with his family. I presented him gifts and best wishes from our members. Ronnie, we thank you for being dedicated Union member and also an AFSCME 2384 Chief Steward. The food was amazing. In Solidarity Luis S
