The closer Christmas day rapidly comes in our busy schedules of life, I am always reflective of many friends through the years that are still friends today, Im thankful for the opportunity I had many years ago at Glen Haven Baptist Church, the wonderful people that I still stay in touch with after all these years, my Heirborn childrens choir and Sandra D. Payton as a 2nd mom and music mentor to me and helped shape me into how I am today. My parents, brother and sister and their families whom I love dearly, friends that have gone through very hard times with me, loved me through the stupid times in my life, and always encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. So many laughs and tears of which I am all grateful for. Im so thankful that at 23 years old, I made sure of my salvation with Bro. Stan Berrong at Glen Haven. Im so thankful that God has given me a huge 2nd chance and giving me a job that I LOVE, appreciate and never take for granted. Georgia is ALWAYS on my mind but now that He has moved me to Charlotte, NC, my new home is right in the center of Gods will, and I havent been this happy in a very long time. There are days that are not easy, there are days I cry, there are days that I want to scream, there are the lonely days that I wonder why and what is God doing, but the days that I am living and wholeheartedly serving Him, far outweigh those tough days alone. Christmas is tough for a lot of people. Choices are made to stay depressed or kick up your heels and put your feelings aside and serve others. You can find JOY in every situation! You CAN be happy in spite of the bad times! You WILL come through the storm and be stronger for what God is allowing you to go through! You ARE on the winning side! Never give up! Never give in! Purpose this Christmas season to focus on the true meaning of Christmas that was born in Bethlehem many years ago. His love for us should be enough to make us shout right now and forget the burdens we carry! So, as this is Wednesday, the Happy Hump Day, lets focus on others, have JOY, and spread the Sonshine of Gods love to everyone me meet today. I love my family and friends! I love my new church (First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, NC)! I am sooooo blessed! What are your blessings today? :)
