The coming disaster is not that there are wars and people are dying. I think we are quite immune to that and watching it on television makes it surreal. The problem is people have widely accepted that everybody is lying and underneath those lies are always cynical and dreadful hidden agendas. It is a recipe for disaster when, entering a conflict, you neglect to take and hold the moral high ground. I strongly believe that if Winston Churchill had insulted the British peoples intelligence the war would have been lost. Instead he offered them, Nothing but blood, sweat, toil, and tears. He understood conflict and studying its history and participating in its wars had been his life. The world today is not teetering at the brink because of conflict and wars - its teetering at the brink because its drowning in an ocean of lies.
