The commentary on this article again comes back to an attack on the black man in the White House. A man who has worked very hard to pull up the ladder of success, educated himself to professorship in Constitutional law. Yet those her who barely have a high school education feel they are qualified to make commentary on him. So please, lets investigate why hes opposed to the XL pipeline and the burning of coal for power generation. First the XL.... the worst kind of hydrocarbon shipped through a pipe all the way from the tar sands of Canada, across the largest aquifer in America and a history of pipelines bursting. This would be an incredible disaster but McConnell and Boehner hold stock in the very companies that would benefit the most from it. The oil, once processed, would be sent to China to be used to power their electrical grid further polluting our already fragile atmosphere. Now coal is as bad and Kentucky doesnt want to put that many people out of work. I agree. What needs to be done is a retraining in a new renewable source industry in which these workers can make at least as much as they are now. Why fight for it? Because McConnell has stock in these industries. Now comes the enlightening part. Who do you suppose are the prime benefactors for both of these ventures? Koch Industries. Yes, David and Charles Koch, who bought Mitch McConnell, funded his campaigns and bought that election.
