The concept of Hijra in Islam is an interesting philosophical phenomenon.. Its not limited to traveling from one place to another.. It is an internal process of recognizing whats bad and getting away from it.. The Prophet pbuh travelled to the Medina leaving behind those of the non-believers who opressed him and suffocated him. I believe all of us may perform an inner Hijra. An internal quest of letting, first, what is unquestionably harmful and reaching for a better self and inspiring others as such.
