The concept of INTENTION is definitely not given the ATTENTION that should be given in all aspects of life. There are many reasons for this of course. The main reason that is given for not examining INTENTION especially within the legal and economic world is that You can never really know someones intentions so lets ignore it like it doesnt exist and focus only upon actual observable actions. Of course this is an excuse, an ignorance gap, within which all crime lives (yes like a bug in a crack if we should be so poetic and generous). Exactly the same action can be carried out with very different intentions as you know. Intention can be better understood by observing over a long period of time. It can be better understood by examining the long term consequences of the act to the person who is acting (to personalize it) and the person who is being acted upon. But this takes time of course and by looking instead only at the short term many very bad intentions masquerade as Good Intentions. This is of course the very essence of most modern Logic from the courtroom to the boardroom to the bedroom.
