The concept of salvation by grace almost always befuddles the mind of the average Christian. There has been this innate tendency with us Christian to believe we have to do something special to earn Gods salvation through grace. Where the bible told us that while we were yet SINNERS, Christ died for us seems to confuse the mind. It has always been that in our earthly walk,people dont just rewards us with gifts unless we are deserving of it no matter how minutes the efforts we have expended are and we have wrongfully carried this same mindset to our relationship with Christ. Dont get me wrong,the Bible has a lot to say about good deeds but a careful scrutiny will reveal to the honest enquirer that our deeds are meant to glorify our Father in heaven and has nothing to do with earning salvation for us
