The concept of taking on a spiritual name is somewhat new to me! I only know this is what I am being guided to do… when a person asks for their spiritual name they are ready and will receive it! I have been blessed with a beautiful name with a personal meaning perfect for my spiritual life and work and I couldn’t be any happier! I have explained to a few people this is what I want and why and the most have been accepting which I thank with full gratitude! I would say this was not an easy decision to make but that would be a lie….it was the easiest decision of all – allowing me to see it is the right one! I am being met with others concerns, harsh words and looks as though I have lost my mind, especially from my earth family – this is nothing new lol This is ok ;-) I imagine it is hard for my earth mother to contemplate her grown up little girl changing her name to no longer be a part of the family namesake! This does not mean I do not love my family – I love them so very much! As much as it’s going to take me time and patience to fully accept and integrate my spiritual name, the same will be said for my family and friends and people who know me! This I full heartedly understand! Taking on any new name is a big commitment – massive life change! I am being guided through suggestion to utilize the 40 day rule…it takes 40 days to change a habit according to yogic systems to retrain the mental and nervous system…exact same process for affirmations! During this time to incorporate it into my life I have to use the name, write the name, meditate on the name, recite the name and ask others to use it if they feel comfortable doing so! So do not be surprised to see this name on all my posts. This process is paramount as a spiritual name is a vibration, a frequency to help elevate my energy through the power of its inner sound current (nadh) the divine essence of its meaning! It is the identity of my soul! Helping me to progress towards my ultimate destiny and challenging me to live in my highest consciousness! In turn leaving old patterns behind and connecting with my infinite self! So from today I will be known as Jaskarem kaur Obviously I still have ties with my old name – this is ok! you all can still call me louise if you wish and my pen name shall remain remain louise christie for now I wish to thank you all for respecting my decision to live with this name – you are all amazing! This process is not about denying who I am or who I once was! It is simply me evolving into my true self – becoming whole within Namaste
