The conclusion of the 2013 racing season also brings a conclusion - TopicsExpress

The conclusion of the 2013 racing season also brings a conclusion to my first year in sprint cars, and what a year it was. From my first podium to my first flip in a sprint car, it has been an exciting and awesome journey. This season would not have been possible without some awesome and amazing people. My parents and car owners, Pam Pam Braddock-Duarte and John Duarte, have made my dreams of racing a sprint car become a reality. They spend not only their hard earned money but their free time on me and my racing in order for me to live my dreams. They haul my race car and I up and down the road, from track to track, so that I get as much experience as possible. They also support me morally, pick me up when Im down, and push me to be successful in every thing I do. I cant thank yall enough for everything yall do for me. I love yall. Another import person who has helped me through out my first year of sprint cars is Mr. Shawn Petersen. He has been a big part of my first year of sprint cars. He allowed me to hot lap his brand new 360ci sprint car at the end of 2012 even though I had no experience in a sprint car. He also helped me build my sprint car from the ground up and showed me how to work on them the correct way. He has helped me along the learning curve and has been a huge supporter of me. I cant tell you how much it means to me Shawn. Thank you so much! Another big teacher who has worked with me on my driving is Mr.Rick Bailey. Rick has been a huge supporter of me since 2008 when I started racing micro sprints. He has worked with me to develop me into the driver that I am today. He has also fixed my car lots of times when I have wadded it up and not asked for a single thing in return. He is a true friend to me and someone I will never forget. Thank you for everything you do for me Rick. Another great man who has been a big part of my racing career is my sponsor and friend, Dr. Jared Durham. I can count on my hands the number of races this man has missed since 2011. No matter how far, cold, or hot it was on race day, he would be there to support me. He has also spent his hard earned money on me and put his faith in to me when no one else would. I cant thank you enough for every thing you do for me JD. You are a true friend. Another great man who has helped me a ton and encouraged my parents to travel to take me racing is Mr. Daryl G Scoggins. He has spent his hard earned money on me to make sure that I was able to race and live my dreams. He also encouraged my parents and spent his hard earned money on me in order for me to be able to travel from track to track racing. He supports me off the track as well by cheering me on and supporting me no matter what. I cant tell you how much it means to me Daryl. Mr.Charlie Davidson has also been a huge supporter of me both on and off the track this year. He helped me get my car back together when I destroyed it in my flip at Devils Bowl Speedway. I cant thank him enough for his support and kindness towards me. Mr. Tony Edmondson and Mr.Patrick Stasa are two other great men that have helped me this year. Theyve showed me the ropes, helped me work on my car, and supported me and cheered me on. I cant thank them enough for everything theyve done for me. My good friends and team mates John Ricketts,Jeb Sessums,Payton Pierce,Robert Vetter, and Bradley Ivie have also been a huge part of my first season of sprint cars. Theyve mentored me, helped me by loaning me parts, helped me work on my car, and have also been supportive of me on and off the track. I cant thank yall enough. Yall are true friends. Last but certainly not least, I want to thank my hero, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. With out him, I wouldnt be sitting here typing this post, and I dang sure wouldnt be racing sprint cars. I cant thank him enough for his blessings his has provided my family and I with. Next year in 2014, I will continue to work toward my ultimate goal and dream of racing in NASCAR and will hopefully make a few ARCA starts. I will also continue racing my sprint car. I cant thank everyone of you enough for everything yall have done for me. I look forward to many more years of racing and working with all of you. Thank you and God bless!!!
