The consciousness of enlightened beings is centered in the Christ center between the eyebrows. All their actions, thoughts, and perceptions originate from that point, rather than from the seat of ego in the medulla. The goal of all spiritual seekers is to get to the Christ center and live in that consciousness. To remain blocked in the medulla would only feed ego-consciousness. However, it is good and necessary to deepen one’s awareness of the medulla first, since it is the point through which consciousness and energy must pass in order to reach the Christ center or spiritual eye. By concentrating at the spiritual eye on the inner light, or upon any other divine reality that one actually perceives when the mind is calm, we gradually take on the qualities of that inner reality.
