The construction of new architecture within the CBD is very exciting, and is the focus of Avenues Four. The deconstruction of existing architecture is not generally covered by this page.....but there is an exception..... Putting all the clues together it would appear we are in for another IMPLOSION!!! Walking past the Christchurch Central Police Station in the weekend I noticed that they are taking away a section of cladding to the west elevation in a similar manner in which Newstalk ZB House was set up for implosion (August 2012). Also, Naylor Love and CERES NZ are involved, as they were on the Newstalk ZB House. There is also a noticeable lack of demolition equipment on site...
