The contrast between my journey yesterday morning and my journey today is very stark indeed. Crawling along the Parkway into Manchester centre at a snails pace in a hot stuffy bus looking out at row after row of red brick terraces, whereas yesterday I sat on an admittedly busy train looking out at the Dee and Mersey estuaries with seabirds spinning and swooping overhead and small fishing and trawling boats chugging along the waterfront and an expanse of sand and coastal inlets with deep green grass fields bordering then sloping down and kissing the sea. Maybe its time for a change of life.
