The core of the conservative movement hasnt changed fundamentally - TopicsExpress

The core of the conservative movement hasnt changed fundamentally since the days of Goldwater. While weve lost many of our brightest lights, in many cases, the same movers and shakers are still moving and shaking. The things the Bushie / GOP establishment players say about Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and the tea partiers today are the SAME THINGS they said about the Reagan and his followers in the 70s and 80s. To the Bush / Rockefeller Republicans, Reagan and his supporters were radical, extreme, unrealistic, dangerous. Sound familiar? On the other side, many of Reagans allies and defenders in that time are still around, and they are the same voices speaking out today for guys like Cruz, Paul and the tea partiers. The GOP establishment players hammering Cruz, Paul and the tea partiers today arent Reagan Republicans. Theyre Bush / Rockefellers, through-and-through--and had they been speaking out in the 70s, they wouldve been hammering Reagan.
