The corridor between Crookston, Minnesota and Grand Forks, North Dakota seems to be the driest in the area with most planting activity nearly done. Crookston farmer Gary Wagner tells RRFN that corridor was drier all last year. “We’re very fortunate here between Crookston and Grand Forks. We’ve had good progress. We’re about 75 percent done on what. We have about 80 percent of our sugarbeets in the ground. We’ve started corn, but no soybeans or sunflowers yet.” Wagner has been making changes to his planting plans based on what fields are fit to work. Wagner says if there is another rain delay, he will put more soybeans in.
