The cost of death emotionally, spiritually and financially? I have heard this from numerous people, I dont think I could handle losing my child. From my observations, there are some who dont handle it well and life seems to slip away from them. There are those who lose their faith, spirituality, values and begin to doubt their belief in God. Then there is the financial toll. The financial cost is about 10 to 15 thousand dollars to burry a loved one. This wipes some out financially. Most will say that the death of a child is one of the worst stressors you can go through. It disrupts marriages, causes lingering feelings of grief, depression and other social and emotional challenges. The cost of death could have been much greater for us if we did not have tremendous support, understanding and love from immediate, extended family and friends. I have a great wife and children who give life more meaning. I am excited and nervous for the new addition to our family, coming any day now. We are naming him Camden David. Mostly, I am thankful for my Heavenly Father who has given me so many opportunities to learn and grow in ways He knows that I have needed. I guess I have needed a few of these opportunities. Life if good!
