The council’s Quality of Life and Environment committee voiced - TopicsExpress

The council’s Quality of Life and Environment committee voiced near universal support Monday for reconsidering the 18-year-old ordinance, as city leaders look for ways to further encourage cycling and to remove a potential hurdle in launching a bike sharing program. But they also appeared keen to keep the helmet requirement for children. And they encouraged cyclists to still wear a helmet, regardless of what happens to the ordinance. The committee, which features six council members, will formally take up the issue on May 12. Share your thoughts.
