The country needs a new constitution which will take power from the centre, strengthen or in our case introduce the autonomy of state intuitions for increased accountability and checks and balances. It is because of the current constitution which gives the executive and it’s head tremendous power that abuses of both the public purse and rights of individuals continue unabated much to the detriment of the citizens, that all efforts at development remain ineffective. The Judiciary should regain the confidence of the people by being judicious in their rulings, the legislature should not rubber stamp appointments without any fear of repercussions. The anti corruption should investigate whom ever the suspect of corruption and the police should be able to arrest and prosecute Panga wielding thugs at will.
