The county and a dispatchers union have agreed to wait for the results of a consultant’s study on the Stanislaus Regional 911 center before negotiating a new labor contract. In the meantime, the current contract has been extended from July 1 to June 30. Effective Saturday, the extension restored 80 percent of a pay cut instituted for dispatchers – and all county employees – during the economic slump.
