The craziest thing ever: Blender is actually the most modern and complete 3D package available in the market (sorry Modo =/). Not only this, it also comes with an amazing video editor and a image compositing editor. Not to mention its free..... Huge companies like The Foundry and Autodesk should keep an eye on it and start adding modernizing their packages to compete with this new wave of softwares. Give it a try, really... blender.org/
