The craziest thing happened to us this evening. As we finished pumping our gas at Kroger in Clarksburg, an elderly woman drove by. Bert and I thought it looked like a lady we knew but hadnt seen in years. As she pulled into the pumps we noticed her car had PA plates. We drove away. I said to Bert that is not like you not to stop and chat why was she alone? Why is she in WV? What if she is lost? Bert did a Ubie on Rt. 50 and we went back to the gas station. Sure enough it was Aunt Florence Spano!!! She was all worked up because she was lost! Bert frightened her at first when he approached her because he is soo big and she never saw him with a beard. She told me she just said a prayer asking God to get her the heck out of here! She had traveled from her Daughters home in South Carolina and had taken an unfamiliar route. We offered to bring her home with us for the night but it would have been back tracking for her. So we took her to dinner and then fixed her up at the Hampton Inn for the night. I told Bert that God had that all in his plans!! I think we have her set up for her travels tomorrow. I hope she is all nestled in a toasty bed getting a lot of much needed res tonight! Please say a prayer that Aunt Florence will make it back to her Somerset, Pa home tomorrow safe and sound.
