The crazy thing about technology is no matter how much you need it at some point it dies and needs to be recharged. When I upgraded my phone I thought my battery problems would be solved. My old phone never held a charge for long. When I went to the store to switch over to my new phone I discovered I was using my battery charger incorrectly. First I never let my battery die all the way out to 0%. I was told that when I started charging my battery at 40% or 50% the phone remembered that a charge had to be done at 40% or 50%. Not only does the phone remember that but your charger that plugs into the phone also has a battery. The source of my power also has a source of power. This encounter gave me such spiritual revelation and insight. The Lord is waiting for us to die completely to self. Once we are dead to our ways to our thoughts to our actions then the king of kings and the Lord of lords can charge us to 100% capacity to serve him. The challenge is most of us get saved and we live at the 40 or 50%. We come to church on Sunday we get a little charge with worship and with the word. That charge only lasts for a limited time because we are not completely dead to self. Once we are completely dead to self not only does the Lord give us the ability to ask for forgiveness to receive eternal life but he gives us the Holy Spirit to guide us in our daily walk. Our source of power has given us resources to guide us into dying to self through his word, the Holy Spirit, pastors, leaders and others. Isnt it great to be dead to self and alive in Christ! Charge that.... Romans 6:5-7 For you have become a part of him, and so you died with him, so to speak, when he died; and now you share his new life and shall rise as he did. Your old evil desires were nailed to the cross with him; that part of you that loves to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that your sin-loving body is no longer under sin’s control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin; for when you are deadened to sin you are freed from all its allure and its power over you
