The current Vic committee have been working on some exciting new initiatives to our Show Calender for the 2013/2014 season. We are trying hard to accommodate all our members and we are happy to announce that this year we will be providing the following: 1. We have organised to run The Equinade Ridden Riding Pony Show at the 2013 SHC Horse of the Year Show. These classes will be run on Saturday 23/11/13 in the afternoon to avoid clashing with Newcomer & First Season Classes. This will include ridden classes for Newcomers, Show Pony, Show Hunter, Home Produced, Children’s Pony and RPSBS Show Hack / Show Hunter classes. Programs will be available shortly. 2. Also at the SHC HOY the Victorian Riding Pony Committee will be sponsoring the “Ladies Park Hack Class” .An additional rug and garland will be awarded to the highest placed registered RPSBS Show Hack/Show Hunter exhibit owned by a financial member of the Society in this class. 3. The 2014 Equinade Victorian Riding Pony of the Year show has moved date and we are pleased to announce that this year the POY show will be held at The Royal Melbourne Summer Horse Show in January. This event will be held indoors on the Saturday night with one English judge already confirmed and a possible second English judge to be confirmed. Program will be available shortly. 4. We have also added to the Newcomer Sweepstakes scheme, two additional classes: Newcomer Ridden Show Hunter pony under 13 hands & Newcomer Ridden Show Hunter Pony over 13 hands and not exceeding 14.2 hands. These classes will be run at The Equinade Ridden Riding Pony Show at the SHC HOY, and the Sweepstakes final to be judged at the 2014 Equinade Victorian Riding Pony of the Year show. Newcomer cards can be purchased from Cathy Rae. 5. A stall has been booked at the EA National Boutique Market Night on the 04/12/13 at 7.30. We look forward to seeing you all there… and make sure you don’t forget your wallets. 6. It is important that we all support the local “aggies” and this year Whittlesea Agricultural Show will be awarding $100.00 prize money for the Champion Ridden Show Pony and the Champion Ridden Show Hunter Pony. This Society has been a great supporter of our breed over past years and the popular venue central to so many hopefully we can see good support from members. 7. New Changes to Barastoc program to come.
