The current political conditions in the US is a disgrace to every American here and world-wide. Friends in Europe, Central and South America are perplexed by the behavior of our president and congress in this shutdown. I can only tell them that the president in our country is not a king and is expected to lead . Leadership is not a quality possessed by this Kenyan in American garb. There is nothing citizens can do until the mid-term elections of November 2014 at which time I can count on one hand current members of congress who I would return to office. Of course my personal opinion is just that, my opinion. With more than 50% of American households by then on food stamps (SNAP) and one or more additional government entitlement programs, there will likely be yet another Democrat president. The dependent majority beholden to the resident of the big White house will again dutifully troop to the polls to cast multiple votes for the Democrat candidate. I am very pessimistic and alarmed that the above scenario is all too likely to come to pass.
