The daily updated on some things gondola- and Providence-related: I am going to go optimistic today (not a surprise) and say that it is going to be a good day to be a gondolier today. We have a high in the upper 60s, a slight breeze, and a chance of showers in the late afternoon onward. Still, it is not a huge chance, and I am hopeful that we will get to row all evening because... There is another partial WaterFire event this evening! Partial fires, if you have not heard about them, from me or otherwise, are the best nights of our season, in my opinion. It gives us the opportunity to give you two experiences in one, with the nice, quiet, authentic side of the river on one hand (including a little singing from your talented gondolier,) then as you pass the dock, the WaterFire music takes over and we go up and do a couple of laps around where they are having the fire, and you receive the WaterFire experience as well. Heres hoping the weather holds! Tomorrow is RISDs graduation, which in and of itself is an event, particularly the parade of graduates; believe me, the costumes some of them wear for graduation definitely live up to the schools reputation as an eclectic and trendy arts school!
