The damages been done, though. This was part of the daily grind for so long, part of the same fog of misinformation that feeds into the current lawless emperor image. There will be no retractions, the majority of their viewers will likely always believe it - despite the irony that it was the opposition who played up these deaths for political gains - and it will doubtless still be part of the Hillary smear as 2016 approaches.
