The dangerous head of having a seemingly Hindutva-based government seems to be slowly, but surely rearing its ugly head among otherwise good people. A comment I made about Modi (whom I truly admire) that he should take care of the basics of the Indian Railways before going for bullet trains drew the ire of a longtime friend for whom I had so much love and respect. He goes on to write substandard and obnoxious content on my wall, finally asking me to get out of India, alleging that I support Sonia- Rahul mafia. Ha, ha, I simply cannot control my laughter. I wonder even if Modiji would have taken my comments so seriously. Well, this is what any government that goes against secularism does: though the not-so-secular powers act and think differently when they are in power, the fringe elements take advantage of the powers that be along with their stated political philosophy and start going about with clenched fists and jingoistic mindsets against all those whom they think are their enemies.
