The date, August 24 1972. The venue, the Greek Theatre, Los Angeles. The event, Hot August Night Concert featuring Neil Diamond in his elements. This is one concert and one album which no Neil Diamond fan could ever forget. Out of the many tracks on this double album, I particularly like the opening track, Prologue Crunchy Granola Suite, where the violins started out soft and slow and gradually built into a crescendo where the rest of the orchestra came in followed by Neil Diamond himself.
