The day I was born my mother said, What a treasure! My dad said, Lets bury it. Actually 67 years ago today was also Thanksgiving Day. Mother barely survived my birth, I survived a broken leg and dad survived medical obfuscation. 67 years later its been an amazing journey with far more blessings than otherwise. Today Phyllis and I celebrate Thanksgiving with my much younger sister (who recently survived a death defying car accident) and her family in PA. Joining us is oldest daughter Angela (who recently survived a death defying encounter with cancer) and her husband Steve. Unable to join us is youngest daughter Elinore and her husband Mike who have recently survived the whelping of four Snorkies. This will be the first thanksgiving without dad and the tenth without mom. Mom, who said, David, when you were born they threw away the mold. 67 years later some of it has grown back.
