The day after Christmas. The house is quiet as a mouse. No more gifts under the tree. Stockings hang limp and some inside out. Gift boxes clutter the table and its time for one last kiss under the mistletoe. As we look around our homes this morning, lets glance back for a moment. What a day it was yesterday! We welcomed family through the door with Merry Christmas! People fell into food comas on the couch. Longer hugs combined with “ I love you. Knee-deep wrapping paper. Instagram pics. Loud laughter. A movie to end the day, perhaps. In the twinkle of an eye it is over. Everyone is gone. Today is a new day. The day called the BIG exchange. Clothes that didnt fit (or might if we go on a diet.) Bills in exchange for all those gifts, and black eyed peas and cabbage in a few days instead of turkey and dressing. Soon life will be normal again. Just for a moment I wish it was Christmas again. It can be. When we make one more BIG exchange. Exchange a life without Jesus for a life with Him. (Tipping my coffee cup at you now.) 2 Corinthians 5:17 When we are in Christ, the old is gone and the new has come. TammyWhitehurst
