The day after my graduation and symposium from the Authentic Speaker Academy for Leadership and I wanted to put together some profound post but I have a huge emotional hangover. I have huge feelings going on but cant get them out yet. The I was sitting in the bathtub and read this: “Are you all in? Can you value your own vulnerability as much as you value it in others?” Answering yes to these questions is not weakness: It’s courage beyond measure. It’s daring greatly. And often the result of daring greatly isn’t a victory march as much as it is a quiet sense of freedom mixed with a little battle fatigue. This is from Brene Browns daring greatly. This sums up my day. I spent the morning with Annie and then on my way home I found myself at the beach, then came home and I just spent some time with me and then my boys. I not only graduated but I had the honour to be awarded the 2014 Presidents Excellent Award. I dont have the words to express what this means to me, it bring tears to my eyes when I think about it. I have gotten awards over the years and they feed my ego, this one is pure heart. I am incredibility proud of myself for stepping into my truth, owning my voice, my story and sharing my heart. This is just the beginning and I am exciting about what is to come. My heart is so full, I am thankful for everyone who came to share the special day with myself and my peers. It was like nothing I have ever experienced before.
