The day each person is able to sit by and do nothing all day will be the point at which we have reached the presupice of our purpose. Society is geared toward convenience as the high functioning human brain is constantly striving to solve problems henceforth making living more and more pleasurable. The thought that human potential should be squandered on flashy entertainment and mere survivability is not only degrading, its self defeating. I long for the day when problems bigger than food production and cheap thrills occupy our waking thoughts.
