The day is finally coming to an end. My dad was laid to rest today with a military ceremony at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. Two navy men in uniform folded the American flag from on top of my dads coffin and presented my mom with the flag. Then three military veterans shot rifles into the air two times each and another veteran played TAPS. It was very moving. We also got to keep the gun shells from the shots fired off. Im definitely going to put those in a remembrance box.
