The days are coming, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I will send a famine through the land-- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD. Amos 8:11 A few days ago as we were traveling in the USA, the driver of our coach expressed shock at the fact that my colleagues and I are pastors. This discovery made her guilty because she was hoping that she did not misbehave in the presence of priests, but it also made her to unleash an avalanche of religious questions to me. She mentioned that they were raised by strict parents and they grew up in a Christian home, consequently she and her brother often argue about the Bible but they fail to give each other satisfactory answers. This lady was friendly to us and she served us with distinction. At the end of our trip, she said finally her questions were answered, she even apologized for asking them. I promised to send her an electronic copy of The Great Controversy, I told her that the Bible and this book will answer all her questions. Carry the light wherever you are folk are hungry for the Word.
