The days will come Luke 5:35 “But the days will come, - TopicsExpress

The days will come Luke 5:35 “But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days” Jesus critics were always looking for something they could attack. They noticed that the disciples of Jesus were not engaging in long prayers and seasons of fasting like others; they criticized their lack of piety. The answer was simple. They were with the bridegroom; it was a time of learning and instruction, yea feasting and rejoicing. But, the days of praying and fasting were about to commence. We live in a rough sinful world. The Bible says, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” It also says, “Job 5:7, “Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.” At this time there will be much trouble, suffering, and agony. Therefore, it is a time of prayer and fasting. The devil is loose causing havoc and the flesh is sinful bringing about heartache and distress. We must, at this time fast and pray for the power of God! But, the time is coming, I believe soon, when we will be with the bridegroom, Jesus Christ, forever. All will be well, prosperous, and free. Time of fasting and prayer will end. There will be eternal utopia and glory. There will be no more tears, trials, heartaches, or sorrow. It is no wonder John “The beloved” cried, “Even so come, Lord Jesus.” Pastor Wilson 7-15-2014
